Penelope was born on April 28, 1974 in Madrid as the daughter of a merchant and a hairdresser Eduardo Cruz Sánchez Encarny. As a young girl she studied dance at the Conservatorio Nacional. With fifteen years, took part in the auditions for young talents and was spotted by scouts – began working as a TV presenter in the program for teens. She dreamed of her, however, greater career and was ready to do a lot to achieve your goal. She studied Ballet dancing skills in Spanish and acting in the Cristina Rota School in New York, and completed a course of modern dance.
