Club history …
Juventus FC is a football club in the first hour. Of his fans affectionately called “La Vecchia Signora” (the old lady) called club was on 1 Founded in November 1897. “Juve” is now a century old – or rather young because “Juventus” is indeed the Latin word for “youth”. The statutes of the Turin club showpiece were written on a bank of the city at the corner of Corso Re Umberto and Corso Vittorio Emmanuele. There then met daily to the fifteen students of the high school Massimo d’Azeglio and two twenty year old bicycle mechanic named Eugenio and Enrico Canfari.

But the so created football club Juventus played his first official game until three years later with a 0-1 against FC Torinese. Another three years later, Juventus played their first encounter in the black and white striped jerseys. They were a donation from John Savage, a Turin-based Englishman who had passed the order to friends in Nottingham.

Juve won his first title in 1905. But a new dimension came before the club until 1923, when he was adopted by the Agnelli family, the heads of the mighty FIAT Group. With the prospect of regular salary and bonuses as (of course) an automobile from the Italian company, many well-known players included in the Northern Italian club, who promptly took 1931-1935 five titles in a row. Juventus thus established himself among the greats of Italian football. Guarantor were players like Giampiero Boniperti the Welshman John Charles and the Argentine Omar Sivori.

As a coach Giovanni Trapattoni Guru In 1977, the sporty line with Juventus, which was for the club again a quantum leap. Won six titles “trap” in ten years of operation. This went so far that the Azzurri at the FIFA World Cup Argentina 78 practically corresponded to the starting eleven for Juventus. When the Italians four years later in Spain won the title, after all, seven players were the “old lady” in the squad.

The obligation of the Frenchman Michel Platini, the top scorer three times in Italy should be allowed Juve, despite the tragedy of Heysel Stadium 29 May 1985 to stay at the top. At that time, 39 people were killed and 450 were injured. At Juventus you have understood it since the tragedy twenty years ago, to heal the wounds and to respect the dignity, by continue to be “win and never give up.”
