The northeastern United States is awakened Monday morning under a white blanket of snow due to the winter storm Virgil, who earlier by Colorado (west) and Kansas (center) withdrew.
In Washington and the surrounding area were many schools closed their doors and went to traffic during peak somewhat disturbed. The storm caused Virgil Saturday for a layer 30 centimeters of snow in Denver, the capital of Colorado, and nearly 40 inches in Kansas. Monday showed the storm still prevail in much of the country between the states of Missouri (center) and Ohio (north). At the Philadelphia Airport were delays of more than an hour recorded. In much of the northeastern U.S., a warning was issued for the winter storm.
