Li Keqiang officially appointed Prime Minister of China

China's Prime minsiter Li Keqiang

Li Keqiang on Friday officially appointed as the new Prime Minister of China. The National People’s Congress voted in as expected with his appointment. The educated as an economist Li (57) is known as a quiet bureaucrat who speaks good English. He follows Wen Jiabao, who post the last ten years held.

A day earlier appointed parliament Xi Jinping officially president. He was previously appointed to party president and commander in chief of the army.

Nearly 3,000 parliamentarians from all over China to the Great Hall of the People in Beijing came to the plans of the government to hear about appointments and policies to vote. It is mainly about a ratification of decisions which the ruling Communist Party of China has already taken.

With the appointment of Xi and Li is the changing of the main leaders in China completed.
