Taylor Swift may call itself the absolute queen of the Billboard Music Awards 2013. The 23-year-old country singer won Sunday in Las Vegas whopping eight awards on hold, including the prestigious Artist of the Year.
Swift, Fun and Maroon 5 were each nominated eleven times prior to the ceremony, but it soon became clear that the blonde singer the evening went dominate. She won more awards for Best Country artist, Best Country Album, Best Country-song, beating Adele, Rihanna, Nicki Minaj and Carly Rae Jepsen as Best Female Artist.
At the MGM Grand Garden was Justin Bieber get the award for Best Male Artist. The 19-year-old Baby singer defeated in this category Drake, Bruno Mars, Flo Rida and Jason Aldean. The teen star also won the Top Social Artist and the Milestone Award.
Other multiple winners at the BMA’s have included Rihanna, Gotye and One Direction. Madonna won the award for the most successful tour in 2013 for MDNA. Prince was called the Icon Award receive.
The superstar closed the festive show with a medley of his best known songs. Other musical performances were given by including Swift, Bieber, Selena Gomez, Nicki Minaj, Lil Wayne and Chris Brown.
