jeff-hanneman died

Slayer guitarist Jeff Hanneman is died yesterday at the age of 49. Hanneman, one of the founders of heavy metal band Slayer, died from the effects of liver failure.

The spokesman of the band know that Hanneman in a hospital in Los Angeles at his side is deceased with his wife.

Hanneman was struck down in early 2011 by a serious infection, presumably – as is the official version – due to a spider bite. The guitarist had just started again with writing songs for a new album that should come out later this year.

It is not yet known whether an autopsy will take place. Slayer can be seen in August at Lowlands . There are also performances scheduled this summer in Enschede and Kerkrade. It was already known that Hanneman would be replaced.
