After the victory of Bayern Munich (2-1) Saturday night at Wembley a big party erupted in Munich. Approximately 150,000 spectators watched the game in town.
The police called a cheerful atmosphere, but there are forty arrests.
The spectators were mostly arrested for public drunkenness and possession prohibited fireworks. Bayern has not been officially honored. Coach Jupp Heynckes wants his players to stay fit for the German Cup final next week.
Duel
Bayern beat Borussia Dortmund Saturday in the Champions League final with 2-1. Arjen Robben played a big part in the game. He was in the 89th minute winning goal. It is for Robben its European prize first. In 2010 and 2012 he lost to Bayern the final of the Champions League.
Mario Mandzukic put the German kapioen after an hour, on a pass from Robben ahead. A few minutes later, Ilkay Gundogan from a penalty equal.The technical committee of the European football association UEFA Robben elected ‘man of the match of the finals.
