'Insidious' director James Wan in talks to helm 'Fast & Furious 7'

James Wan’s probably going to replace Justin Lin as a director of The Fast and The Furious 7. The Malaysian director, known for horror films like Saw and Insidious, has ears to the direction of the action, writes the American movie and TV site Deadline.

Lin withdrew last week from the film project. He directed four other Fast & Furious movies, including the sixth part, which comes out next month. “It’s time for me to move on and do other things,” said Lin. “I think it’s  great that Universal James Wan has asked.”

The 36-year-old Wan comes this year with two films. In September  The Conjuring and this year’s sequel to Insidious appears also in the U.S.

For The Fast and The Furious 7 times Vin Diesel and Paul Walker in the lead roles. Dwayne Johnson to admire will be is still unknown. The films are full of explosions and car chases in fast cars and is about criminals who sat on the heels by the police.
