Netherlands and the United States are aligned on the approach to Syria. Both countries are calling for a ‘very strong’ UN resolution to ensure that Syrian President Bashar al-Assad does what he promises.
Said Netherlands Foreign Minister Frans Timmermans (Labour, Foreign Affairs) and his American Foreign Minister John Kerry after a meeting in Washington DC this Friday. John Kerry Further said that the Netherlands is always a great support for the United States to force syria to surrender on his chemical weapons.
OPCW
On Friday also left the organization know for the Prohibition of Chemical Weapons (OPCW) in The Hague information of Syria to have received about the chemical weapons that owns land.
A meeting of the OPCW Member States about the destruction, which was scheduled for Sunday, has been canceled. The reason is not disclosed.
