British intelligence prevented 34 terrorist attacks

Andrew Parker

The British security services say they have prevented 34 terrorist attacks. The past eight years Most of this was planned by British.

The directors of the three British intelligence services MI5, MI6 and GCHQ be heard Thursday in the House of Commons. The questioning of the ‘spy chiefs’ is delayed by two minutes ‘live’ broadcast by the BBC .

“There are thousands of people in this country who support violent extremism, as far as we know. The plans for attacks were almost all of these people, “said Andrew Parker, the head of MI5.

Eavesdrop

The chief of the British intelligence Government Communications Headquarters (GCHQ) denied that that service phone eavesdropping on a large scale or emails read. “That would not be in proportion, that would not be legal and that we would never do.”

With this ruling goes against Iain Lobban in previous posts about the bugging of GCHQ. In June, reported The Guardian are based on information from whistleblower Edward Snowden that GCHQ daily draining two hundred fiber optic cables that run in the Atlantic Ocean between Europe and the United States, where daily 21 petabytes of information through it. In addition, the service every day draining 600 million calls.

That the three chefs are heard at the same time and that is to follow the survey to the public, is a unique situation. It would be a signal that intelligence is more transparent about their activities.
