U.S. judge: nudity is not an opinion

The ban on naked in public in San Francisco runs according to a U.S. court is not contrary to the fundamental rights of citizens. The judge has the requirement of a nudist group for the ban to delete rejected.

Nudism in public is not covered by freedom of expression, the court found, because it has no specific message.

Opponents of the ban are disappointed with the verdict, but expect to still have a chance. The court suggested that the after effect of the ban on February 1 it is possible to appeal against a penalty. It amounts to a first offense $ 100 (74 euros), but may increase recidivism.

San Francisco is known for its open-mindedness. Nudism came in recent years in some places in the city fairly common, especially in the Castro District, where many gay people live. Incidentally, there remains an exception for events such as the annual Gay Pride.
